Urbanity Builds 52 New Affordable Rental Apartments in Tachov
Construction will soon begin on eight residential buildings, collectively offering 52 apartments. This affordable housing
initiative aims to serve not only employees working within the Urbanity campus but also residents from the broader Tachov
region who face challenges in accessing suitable accommodation. Through this project, Urbanity continues its commitment to
fostering sustainable regional growth and supporting a vibrant, stable community.
“In the locations where we operate, we connect production with services and other functions such as housing, retail, and
education. In doing so, we complement urban infrastructure and create vibrant places. At the same time, we place strong emphasis
on environmental quality, architecture, energy efficiency, and long-term sustainability,” explained Roland Hofman, CEO of
Urbanity.
A quarter of the apartments will be prioritized for people working in social services, security, or public administration.
The remaining units are intended for individuals and families who face barriers to homeownership, including those under 35
and families with children.
The project has received financial support from the European Union and the State Investment Support Fund (SFPI) under its
Affordable Rental Housing programme. The fund recognized the project’s long-term social impact.
“SFPI supports projects that respond to the real needs of regions. The construction of new apartments in Tachov is an example
of cooperation between the public and private sectors that can help stabilize the local labour market and provide quality
housing for people who are essential to the functioning of cities and municipalities,” said Daniel Ryšávka, Director of
the State Investment Support Fund.
In total, the eight residential villas will offer apartments ranging from studio units to two-bedroom layouts, with larger
units featuring balconies or terraces. All apartments will be ready for immediate move-in. The standard fit-out will include
fully equipped kitchens with appliances, built-in storage, and basic furniture. The project will also include parking spaces
and shared facilities such as pram storage and bicycle rooms.
The first tenants are expected to move in by spring 2027. Registration will open in May 2026 via bydlenitachov.cz, where comprehensive information
about the project and rental terms will be available.
